Another shocking commercial

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arfNofxBtfY&feature=related
This video also is shocking. It is contradict with suicide bomber and peaceful restaurant.
Might be intellectual shock and visceral shock. If I am the viewer of the VW commercial, I will not buy the car…It kills life...

Drugs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC32qR7H0GY

It is a shocking Ad for me, because the message is ambiguous in a sense where they try to prevent something from happening and at the same time, they show kids the way to make it happen. The message is like if you want to get high, this is what to do, this is where to go.
I believe it works, because it is unexpected, smart and openly bring the subject. Parents will effectively be more careful and conscious.

This is just absolutely ridiculous. This is a French ad made to prevent people from speeding. I see that many prevention ads such as smoking, drugs, etc have to be very explicit in regards to the material being shown. This definitely shocked me for the ending caught me by surprise and everybody got killed in the end, including the baby. This is meant to shock people into being careful for if you're not your life will be ruined.

I think both of these Ad’s are shocking to a smoker. When a smoker looks at this Ad I think they really wonder to themselves, is this the way my lungs looks? What is actually occurring inside of me? People who smoke don’t actually wonder what the damages are in the inside. I think this Ad might scare people and make them realize the effect smoking has on your lungs. I think after people view this Ad they might turn away from smoking; however I feel like after awhile they forget about it and just go back to it.

I cannot bear blood and cutting internal body.

It is scared me. and It works.

NO anorexia

When I saw this ad, I squirmed. This is Isabelle Caro and the ads were displayed on billboards in Milan during fashion week. When you think of fashion, you don't usually think of this type of picture. It's sad though that this is a shocking reality in which some models, women and girls resort down to because they think they have to look a certain way to be pretty and fit in. To me, there's nothing pretty about this and that is what this ad is trying to say.
Flash and Partners is the Italian clothing company that paid for this ad, publicizing the fashion brand: Nolita. I think the ad was definitely shocking, and brought to people's attention an issue that sometimes goes unnoticed. The woman looks sickly in this ad. It shocks you, making you aware that anorexia is a problem and this is what it does to people.

SHOCKING ADS

http://www.newsweek.com/id/114629
AD 1 OF 5..
THIS AD IS TO STOP STATUTORY RAPE. I FOUND THIS AD SHOCKING THE MODEL IS JUST A CHILD WITH BIG BREASTS. ITS NOT SOMETHING YOU SEE EVERYDAY THATS FOR SURE LOL.. BUT I DO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE SENDING THE MESSAGE OUT LOUD AND CLEAR.!!LIKE IT WAS STATED IN THE CAPTION ON THE LEFT LOOKING AT THIS IMAGE SHOULD MAKE THE VIEWER FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND THAT IS THE PURPOSE. ITS TO OPEN THEIR EYES TO ETHICS AND MORALS. AND TO REALIZE THAT CHILDREN ARE CHILDREN NOT SEXUAL TOYS.. AND SHOULD NOT IN ANY SHAPE AND FORM BE LOOKED AT IN ANY OTHER WAY.

These ads are published by the WSIB which is the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. The WSIB tries to point out that the workplace is one of the most important places in our lives. Their goal is to make everyone aware of the dangers and issues surrounding workplace safety. These ads are about accidents that could be prevented if we all try to be more responsible. Personally i believe that those types of ads might be extremely shocking but in the end they really work and help us realize how important is safety in our lives.

SHOCKING ADS!!

This image to me is very shocking, The United Colors of Benetton is a clothing manufacturer. It is shocking because, they are advertising a new born baby to sell clothing. This is very shocking, why would they use such an image as this to sell merchandise?, If we only knew ourselves!

Disturbing Ad

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EB7dZeWs--s

this is a very disturbing ad used by Volkswagen. its apparently a new model car being advertised and they used the idea of a suicide bomber for whatever reason. i personally do not understand the use of it. its clear what the advertisers were trying to do before hand. the man driving up and stopping in front of an outdoor cafe, obviously to attract attention to the new Volkswagen and to show that its a tough car no matter the size but once he clicks that device shows that he is about to bomb himself, the commercial immediately becomes controversial and disturbing to me. especially for the fact that what the world is going through right now, between the war in Iraq and the multiple suicide attacks in the Middle East.

http://img.timeinc.net/time/europe/magazine/2006/0807/kiss.jpg

this ad is a Dolce & Gabbana watch ad, and above is the link for the commercial.
these two models are kissing, portraying them as being gay.

The fact that gay rights is such a controversial topic, as well as the sight of them kissing, drives home the point that they are indeed homosexual. This ad is schocking because as much of a forward thinking nation as America may be, we are still not completely comfortable with the sight of openly gay relationships, much less the use of that imagery to make a campaign upon.

This makes the ad stick out in your mind. while not everyone will agree with the means by which Dolce & Gabbana used to promote their watch, everyone will remember this ad, because it's so conteroversial, i'ts hard to forget.

WOW- AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN AD IN FRANCE

This image is part of an AIDS awareness campaign in France. It is a part of the scorpion ads. These images are dramatized in order to show the destructive affects AIDS has on humanity. This ad is shocking because it depicts a woman engaging in sexual intercourse with a spider, and a man having sex with a scorpion. When I first stumbled upon these images, my jaw hit the ground. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.  This is connected to having unprotected sex because these spiders and scorpions are poisonous to us and are deadly. The same goes for AIDS. Having unprotected sex may result in contacting the HIV virus, which develops into full-blown AIDS. The message in the ad pretty much sa
ys, if you're going to have unprotected sex, might as well have it with something deadly. I would say the ad works because the message definitely got through to me.

SHOCKING ADS.

This ad is an example of one the methods used by advertisers to get their points acrossed. This is shocking because the woman looks like she's starving. Also she looks like, she likes way she looks. Which is really disturbing. Because if you look at the picture, you notice that her condition isnt that well off . Her feet are black and blue also she has this rash on her tailbone. Her body bascially looks like a skeleton, and the fact that shes posing like that doesnt make it seem right. I think this ad, works because it shows how bad anorexia is and at the same time show us the mental state of people with that condition. Because the fact we could look at this picture and get repulsed while she may look at herself and feel beautiful definitely, shows the differences of views. And that people with that kind of problem should be helped.

This ad is just blatantlt shocking. This is an anti-anorexia ad and I think it does the trick. The so called "model" in this picture looks like a skeleton. It looks like it was actually painful to get into that position. After seeing this ad I don't think any girl would want to be anorexic. The advertisers here just gives it to you straight...this is what happens when you don't eat.
This is the link to the ad:

Shocking Ad

Wow. What a shocking ad! The usage of the word "queer" is totally inappropriate. It represents the homosexual people, and by using the term in a Manhattan Mini Storage ad seems totally out of place. Not only is the man in the picture representing someone 'queer,' but the officials set him up in a pink shirt and with waxed eyebrows. I don't really understand the ad. I'm sure it's referring to some television show where 5 gay men are sent to reorganize somebody's pad, but regardless, it's pretty shocking. Again I'm not totally comprehending the "threat," but it's clear that publicity is getting way too comfortable with its subjects.

I have to also invite you guys to see this commercial that was actually aired on television. I thought it was a spoof, or some kind of Saturday Night Live skit. My mouth was wide agape!
