YOU KNOW YOUR A GREAT NECK KID WHEN...

You can't go two blocks in town without seeing a bank.
If you go to North, you hate South. If you go to South, you hate North.
Even though you have several friends in both schools.
Even though it's not that good, Gino's is your favorite pizzaria.
You wonder why you have to go so far to go to South when North is only about a mile away.
You don't consider Lake Success part of Great Neck.
You have family less than an hour away.
PAL soccer was something you did when you were little.
You've been kicked off the ice multiple times for no reason at Parkwood.
The thought of staying home for the summer sounds absurd to you.
You take at least one vacation a year.
You have no idea how to get to King's Point Park.
You're Jewish.
Your cell phone is always glued to your hand.
Flipflops, Uggs, and berkenstocks are worn all year round.
Nobody knows how to drive.
You see a temple on every block you drive past

I think both of these Ad’s are shocking to a smoker. When a smoker looks at this Ad I think they really wonder to themselves, is this the way my lungs looks? What is actually occurring inside of me? People who smoke don’t actually wonder what the damages are in the inside. I think this Ad might scare people and make them realize the effect smoking has on your lungs. I think after people view this Ad they might turn away from smoking; however I feel like after awhile they forget about it and just go back to it.

"GLOBAL COMMUNITY"

To be honest I was kind of embarrassed and self-conscious when writing an online persona. It may look like I love expressing myself but when it comes to writing I guess I just don’t feel as comfortable. I’m always afraid that people will judge me on the way I write, if my vocabulary isn’t as strong as there’s, or if they don’t agree with what I am saying. I hope being part of a “global community” will give me more confidence in my writing and I hope it will become easier to express myself to others. I also feel that it is a little awkward expressing myself to people who know nothing about me. I guess over time I will feel a lot more comfortable.
